The moLocate® location service
moLocate is a location service for mobile phones. It is a software only solution that works without GPS and without coordination from network operators. Position is determined using the moLocate reference database and cell-id and wifi information retrieved from mobile handsets.
moLocate provides the following commercial and technical benefits:
- Continuous location (e.g. fleet tracking) without prohibitive network operator costs
- Use across all cellular networks
- Use indoors
- Minimal impact on battery life
- Costing model enables continuous tracking applications
